Dark & Dramatic: Slate and Wood Industrial Chic Kitchen

Real slate veneers clad these dramatic textured units, mixing with smoked wood and concrete to produce a rich industrial feel. Layering textures in this way adds a warmth which is enhanced through exposed filament lighting and details such as the open-shelving drinks station. The dramatic island includes an open wooden niche at one end and an L-shape breakfast bar feature at the other. These inverse cutout and overlaid shapes complement and balance each other to create a stunning island with a lightness that belies its large size.

Dark Modern Kitchen

The ceiling boxing which provides space for the extraction and pendant lighting has then been extended to mirror the size and shape of the island below. The kitchen is full of deep drawers, internal pullouts and integrated appliances to maximise storage and practicality, as well as stunning looks.

The TV area has then been designed to work with the kitchen through matching wooden panelling, and leather bar stools link the space to the adjoining seating area and bi-fold doors to the garden. This kitchen shows how the combination of spatial planning and complementary finishes work together to create a perfectly designed space.
