Bold Black Shaker With Curved Seating Island

Bespoke hand painted. In-frame Shaker with beaded frame. This new property was built by our clients, creating a large open-plan space overlooking the South Downs. To fill this beautiful canvas, they wanted a dramatic yet classic kitchen with a large statement island bridging seating and prep space; using sweeping shapes to create drama and interest.
Light and dark high-contrast cabinetry and linear handles create a more contemporary twist on the traditional in-frame Shaker. Silestone ‘Arden Blue’ worktop synchs perfectly with the large format concrete-effect floor tiles and graphite window frames.
We added a feature round butcher’s block as part of the large island, for dedicated prep space. The raised seating area in a sweeping curve across the back of the island forms a sociable area to gather and provides variable heights as you look across the room to the views beyond. This design includes: Siemens ovens, Ilve range cooker, Fisher & Paykel American fridge freezer, and a Miele wine cooler
