Classic In-Frame Kitchen In Characterful Property

Ashington

Built around wooden beams, angled and stepped walls and a low ceiling, this kitchen was an exercise in bespoke design. Making sure the complex architecture of this period property was respected but visually simplified meant specialist depths to units and worktops to create an aesthetically sleek design, with hidden intricacies.

The stunning colour palette was inspired by natural materials, incorporating muted oatmeal and stone colours alongside burnished brass detailing. Stained oak veneer interiors enhance the bi-folding storage, bespoke larder and glazed dresser areas to give storage which is both practical and beautiful.

The bespoke island features large amounts of drawer storage, pilaster-framed seating and a perfect square proportion to balance the room shape. Appliances are all integrated within the units including an extractor hidden in a discrete mantle with an antique mirror splashback. The kitchen then opens onto a complementary utility complete with boot and coat storage, hidden laundry and finished with herringbone tiles. The kitchen project is a lesson in craftsmanship and beautiful finishes.
